Wild Blue Yonder

Hi there, it's a Saturday afternoon and I'm home enjoying a lazy day. Believe me it doesn't happen a lot but it's nice to be doing things that I love. So I have been creating more in the hope to find my mojo. It helps to have lots of encouragement from a friend.
Here is my take on this month's challenge for Kraft Plus using paint swatches. I printed this large photo, how fun is it ! It certainly helped me get out of my comfort zone but that is exactly what makes it interesting. If you want inspiration go check it out, some amazing layouts.

Thanks for checking in and have fun creating.

Seek adventure

Good morning, how is your Easter break going? My family enjoyed time together relaxing.
I have returned here to share my latest sketch challenge layout for Let's Get Sketchy. I'm so happy to announce I have joined their design team and look forward to creating using their wonderful sketches and mood boards. I loved the circles in this sketch and was glad to pull out an older range from Kaisercraft I had from many years ago.

Here is the sketch found here on the Let's Get Sketchy blog.
I fussy cut out the circular shapes and foam mounted some to add height.
I added the wooden x's from Rainbow Splendour and they are a great addition to boy layouts.
For the side of the page I added a handstitched border alongside a thin line of washi tape.
My title is mixed fonts using Thickers and I typed up this saying on my typewriter.
The black circle stamping and black paint splatters go well with the black and white photo.
Last addition was the enamel dots in different shades of green that added more circles to the design.
I really enjoyed creating using the sketch and mood board for the colours and patterns.
Can't wait to see your layouts, so please join in,there is a great prize to be won.
Have a lovely creative day!

Let's get Sketchy 1st April

Hi everyone, how are you all?
I'm happy to share a fun sketch over on the Let's Get Sketchy blog.
Can you believe it's April already!! This is the first sketch for this month. I love how you can be inspired by a sketch and make it your own style.

I saw this leaf die cut and knew I needed to use it as the divider for the top of the layout. This recent paper range is called Island Escape by Kaisercraft.

This leaf tropical pattern is so trendy right now and I think it's perfect for my many beach photos.

I enjoyed fussy cutting and paper piecing these clusters adding a few shells.

The last finishing touches were the clear sequins and clear beads.

For inspiration go check out  Let's Get Sketchy  We can't wait to see your entries.

Thanks for stopping by today
