Here and Now

Here and Now

Hello everyone, here in the West we were hit with soaring tempertures warning us of what is install for us this Summer!! Hot Hot Hot!! My Summer always includes many trips to the beach and we love it here where we live. I just can't get over how beautiful our sunsets are here. What is your favourite summer pastime?

This is my sunset beach layout using A Touch of Gold by Kaisercraft. I stayed with the black, white and gold colours and used the circle sticker sheet from the pack to embellish and add interest to the background.

The background with mixed media was first, a layer of gesso then a swipe of Heidi Swapp gold screen ink over the top. I love the consistency of this ink and how smooth it is to use. Up close it has a beautiful pearly sheen to it.

Added rhinestones and Heidi Swapp Gold Color shine sprinkled all over.

Kaisercraft roses that I coloured and metal charm flower branch clustered together.

Kaisercraft A Touch of Gold paper pack includes the circle sticker sheet.

Have a lovely day and we would love to see what you create from all your purchases from the Scrapping Clearly store.

December Daily

Good morning, I have the perfect opportunity here today to share my plans for December! Yes it's that time of year!! What do you love about Christmas?
Since I have heard of the idea of December daily that was created by Ali Edwards, I have wanted to create an album too but never have so this is the year. I am excited to document my family traditions, to add our stories and photos.
I am using the Heidi Swapp wooden album and the Candy Cane Lane collection by Teresa Collins for the papers and embellishments.
All the chipboard are from Your Creative Wings and I just love the elegant detailed pieces here. So pretty and versatile.

I have everything ready to start and this is my cover and first front page. You may remember I shared this cover before a while ago so it makes it super easy for me to begin to fill it now.

Candy cane lane ephemera and sequins.

Close up of the first title page.

The second half of my prep for December is this Heidi Swapp Countdown to Christmas Calendar, which will include a photo a day I will share on instagram.

I really want to use what I have already to complete these projects, so the frame for this is an Ikea photo frame I painted gold.

For this I will be using the Believe Collection by Heidi Swapp.

Do you plan on doing Christmas projects this year? Please share what you will be working on and if you are doing December daily I would love to hear from you.
Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your day.

Happiest

Hi there, here is my take on the Scrap the Girls sketch challenge for November.
I really enjoyed creating and it was a good excuse to play with my new Amy tangerine Finders keepers range. I love the bright bold colours.
Not sure why but I love the fruit in this collection! It must be summer soon.

The washi tape book is gorgeous and such a clever way to package it.

The rub on worked so well on the photo and I loved the flower cluster rub on that I placed at the bottom right hand corner, it went on perfectly.

Close up of the fussy cut flowers that I layered on top of the flowers on the paper.
Thank you for stopping by.

Trick or treat last cyber crop challenge

I loved this challenge to cut it up and custom make my album using PL cards how I want them. Thanks Ree for the inspiration and I will be doing this all the time now.

For this Cut it up Challenge I Cut out the flower petals and leaves on this card and fused two pockets together.
That's it our first Cyber crop and I had a lot of fun and enjoyed looking at everyone's entries. It certainly helped me create and find my mojo!!

1st cyber crop for Scrapping Clearly

Good Morning, I was involved in first cyber crop for Scrapping Clearly and decided to do a recipe challenge. I have wanted to try making the handmade washi tape feathers for a long time. In my Scrapping Clearly kit I received the Heidi Swapp washi tape so I had to make some and they turned out great.

A close up of the feathers with white wire that I curled the end to add a whimsical style.
I used texture paste and a feather stencil called Fancy Feathers by Ronda Palazzari for the Crafters Workshop. Next I added the Heidi Swapp Gold Art screen ink over the top rubbing it into the details. I love how it turned out.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.

Love Travel Adventure

Love Travel Adventure

Morning, it's a new week and my last share for this month! Yes, time is ticking away and there is so much going on in my life towards the end of the year. Is it the same for you?

I enjoyed this layout process going back in time to a holiday we had in Sydney. We feel it was a once in a lifetime holiday as a whole family because it was a very generous 40th Birthday gift to me from my Brother. The time we spent with his family made the best memories that will last a lifetime.

This WANDERlust  collection from Teresa Collins was perfect for Travel whether you are exploring the World or your local favourite spot. Have a look in the Scrapping Clearly shop for these goodies.

I enjoyed using mint coloured card stock  as the base with the black and white and gold.
A way to add colour instead of always using white card stock.

Wooden Globe which I love!! Was spray painted gold with my favourite gold spray paint.
Close up of the AC Thickers called Heirloom a colour popular at the moment, a coppery gold.
Brads in black and white with gold edges and machine stitches to add interest.
AC Thickers Heirloom foil letter tiles found here

Have a lovely Monday and happy creating wherever you may be in your part of the World!!
